Okomfohemaa Nana Akua Oparebea was the Chief Priestess of the Akonnedi Shrine in Larteh, Ghana, who transported Akan spiritual tradition (Akom) to the U.S.A., establishing shrines and training individuals in the spiritual and healing arts of the Akan-Guan traditions. She transitioned into the ancestral realm in 1995.
