Mama Noni Chichester was a Queen Mother in our community and, by example, embodied the virtues of an Elder. As a giving person, she always had sweets for the children, jokes for the adults, and positive affirmations for all. In her 80s, she embarked on the Mourning Ground Ritual, confidently completing it, and she remains an inspiration to others going through it to this day. She transitioned into the ancestral realm in 2017.
